ICAF Partners with OM!SA

The International Child Art Foundation (ICAF) based in the Washington DC , USA and lead by Dr Ashfaq Ishaq has formally approved the Open Medi@ !nitiative 4 Social Action ( OM!SA) as its Arts Olympiad National Partner in Sierra Leone .
This gives OM !SA the exclusive right and sole responsibility to organize ICAF’s Third Arts Olympiad (2005-2008) in Sierra Leone . The Arts Olympiad begins with free lesson plans distributed to schools, which lead to school art competitions on the theme, My Favourite Sport. Exhibitions at school, district, regional and national levels in Sierra Leone will follow.
OMISA will send national finalist art work to ICAF and arrange for Sierra Leone ’s national delegation to participate in ICAF World Festival to be held in Washington DC in 2007. OMISA will also arrange art exchanges with schools around the globe.
Moreover, like other ICAF national partners in over 80 countries world wide, OMISA is free “to secure national sponsors and educational partners in order to expand the outreach and deepen the impact of the Arts Olympiad”.
The Arts Olympiad is the world’s largest and most prestigious arts initiative for 8-to 12- year old children and is supported by ICAF’s educational partners that include the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Americans for the Arts and the National Art Education Association (NAEA).
